For yoga classes, it is helpful to have a yoga mat, 1 blanket, 1-2 blocks, and a bolster. Gather as many props, blankets, towels, and pillows as you can for Restorative Yoga or Yoga Nidra classes.

  • No problem! Get creative. Here are some ideas to try.

For a mat: the floor works great too; just be careful if it’s slippery and add blankets for comfort

For blocks: thick books, shoeboxes, or foot stool

For bolster: pillows or couch cushions

For blankets: bath towels, beach towels, or throw blanket

For a strap: scarf, belt, or bathrobe tie

For weights: canned food, full water/beverage bottles

For therapy/release ball: tennis ball, lacrosse ball, kid’s toy, rolling pin

For foam roller or small (8-10inch) Pilates ball: rolled up blanket or yoga mat, pool noodle, squishy pillows; you’re looking to introduce instability here!
